A room of the house, on the local network, whose only purpose is making and showing. It opened on 20 September by answering one question: is an infrastructure built for sobriety also good for creating — not only for computing?
What is inside
- A wall — dated works, each with its manifest: the tool, the prompt, what was expected, and what was actually seen.
- A voice — a self-hosted synthesis model. Its sentences wait in a queue until a screen in the house agrees to play them.
- An ear — automatic transcription, which sometimes mishears: useful to know, and we write it down.
- A hand — ComfyUI and an image→video model that speaks. The team's face was drawn, animated and re-read here.
How it is built
The wall is not a database: it is a generated HTML file built from folders, versioned in the same git as the rest of the house. The page reloads itself when a work arrives, it re-arms on the first gesture, and it never leaves the local network.
The rule
Nothing hangs unreviewed: an image is looked at up close, a video is
re-read in time. Failures are kept, named, explained — rats/ is the most instructive
drawer in the workshop.
What the workshop will never do: unlock a door, lower a shutter, heat a room, or touch a secret. Make and show, nothing else.
